The last time the Phoenix lights came about was on the infamous night in 1997. The Phoenix UFO video of 1997 had spawned tons of cable specials on the Sci-Fi Channel and the Discovery Channel. Turns out that the mysterious- and nostalgic lights over Phoenix- are actually a hoax. That is, the 2008 version of the Phoenix UFO lights. Turns out that some joker attached some flares to a balloon and convinced people that it was a UFO.
As for the Phoenix UFO video of 1997, it still remains a mystery that has captivated people around the globe. Experts clearly believe that the Phoenix lights were not flares due to the luminosity of the lights. This has made the the Phoenix Lights one of the most intriguing UFO videos to date.
